Former US Marine Held in Russia Is Unresponsive and Near Death, Advocates Say

Robert Gilman, a former US Marine held in Russia since 2022, has not responded to anyone for 47 days, according to his advocate Eric Lebson. Support groups say guards tortured him and forced drugs into his body, leaving him close to death. Like a prisoner trapped in a nightmare he cannot wake from, he lies unresponsive. Russian officials have not commented.
