Transport agency won't release toll road documents

Waka Kotahi, the transport agency, refused to release four documents RNZ asked for under the Official Information Act — a law letting the public request government information. The documents covered Belfast to Pegasus tolling discussions from April and May 2026. The agency said some were withheld to protect advice before decisions, and others for commercial sensitivity.
