Freeland says China's new law copies Putin's excuse for war

Former deputy PM Chrystia Freeland told a Taipei forum that China's new law, effective July 1, copies Putin's claim that he invaded Ukraine to protect a shared people. One section says people outside China can be punished for harming ethnic unity. Freeland wants democracies to say the law doesn't apply on their territory.
