Park Service Says Planned Giant Arch Would Damage 37 Historic Places

The National Park Service found that a proposed 250-foot arch near the National Mall would harm 37 historic sites. The review says the arch would block the view between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington House, Robert E. Lee's old home. Vietnam War veterans have sued to stop it from being built.
