Indian Court Sentences Former Magazine Editor Tarun Tejpal to 10 Years for Rape

An Indian high court found Tarun Tejpal, who founded the investigative magazine Tehelka, guilty of raping a younger colleague at a Goa hotel event in 2013. The court overturned a 2021 ruling that had cleared him, sentencing him to 10 years in prison. He has two weeks to turn himself in and plans to appeal.
