A Hormuz Shipping Deal Won't End the Danger

Treasury Secretary Bessent said ships could resume passing through the Strait of Hormuz by August 6. But Iran's parliament limited free passage to 60 days, its military claimed control of the strait on July 13, and Iran stopped two ships there on July 31. A deal lowers the risk. It doesn't stop Iran from blocking traffic again.
