Uber invests $100 million in founder's new robotics company

Atoms, a robotics startup founded by Travis Kalanick, raised $1.7 billion in July 2026, with venture firm Andreessen Horowitz leading the round. Uber invested $100 million — despite ousting Kalanick as CEO in 2017. Ben Horowitz will join Atoms' board. The company builds robots for mining, food, and transportation.
