Two parties team up to ask chancellor to fix student loan rules

Conservative and Liberal Democrat politicians have written jointly to the chancellor, asking for changes to how former students in England pay back their loans. Lib Dem MP Tom Gordon, who has a loan himself, said no bank could change repayment terms after the fact. More than 20 Labour MPs have already called for reform. Education policy is run separately in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
