Conservative and Lib Dem frontbenchers jointly urge chancellor to act on student loan repayments
Conservative shadow education secretary Laura Trott and Liberal Democrat education spokeswoman Munira Wilson have signed a joint letter to the chancellor urging action on student loan repayment rates. Lib Dem MP Tom Gordon, himself a borrower, said no bank could "do this retrospectively" to repayment terms. Over 20 Labour MPs previously demanded reform. The loans system applies to England; education is devolved elsewhere.
