Gene-Edited Beagles May Not Trigger Dog Allergies

Scientists used a tool that acts like molecular scissors to edit the genes of two beagles, Bailey and Alfie. The edit removed a protein called Can f 1, the main substance that makes people allergic to dogs. Tests found none of the protein in their fur or saliva, and one allergic person had no reaction. More testing is still needed.
