Self-driving taxis get the green light in London

London has approved its first self-driving taxis. Fifteen electric Ford cars using AI software from a company called Wayve will give rides through the Uber app. A trained safety driver must stay in the seat. Trips start later this summer. Two competitors, Waymo and Baidu's Apollo Go, are racing to launch their own self-driving taxi services in the city.
