Betting companies' VIP staff accused of giving gamblers drugs and sex workers to keep them betting
Campaigners Tim Costello and Luke Bateman told a parliamentary inquiry that VIP account managers at Australian betting firms gave cocaine, alcohol and sex workers to problem gamblers to keep them gambling. Bateman described a Gold Coast event where senior staff took drugs with clients. Acting PM Richard Marles called the evidence "quite shocking." Sportsbet and Tabcorp deny the claims.
