Court orders UK government to bring back trafficking victim from France

A judge ordered the UK government to bring back a Sudanese torture survivor sent to France under a deal where the two countries swap people. This is the first such return. The judge scrapped a rule that stopped trafficking victims from challenging an initial rejection. The man was sent away on 27 November 2025. Both sides can appeal.
