Venezuela and Dominican Republic Restart Official Relations

Venezuela and the Dominican Republic agreed August 2 to slowly rebuild official ties, broken after Santo Domingo rejected Maduro's fraudulent 2024 re-election. Since US forces seized Maduro in January 2026, interim President Delcy Rodríguez has reopened relations with Washington in March and now Santo Domingo, steadily fixing the damage from the Maduro years.
