UK Tells EU Citizens They Can't Stay After All

After Brexit, the UK let 5.8 million EU citizens stay under a scheme granting either temporary or permanent residency. Now the Home Office has told at least 100 people their temporary permits were given "in error" — right as they neared the point of qualifying to stay permanently. Campaign group the3million fears hundreds of thousands could get the same letter, threatening removal from the UK.
