A sticker gave a reporter a real tattoo — with no pain

The Verge published the first independent test of CipherX's Microdot patch. CEO Ferdinand Kohle pressed a quarter-sized patch onto a reporter's arm. It held 112 tiny needles that dissolve in the skin. After 15 minutes the needles dissolved, leaving a permanent tattoo — no pain, bleeding, scabbing, or healing time. CipherX launched the product July 24, 2026 in London.
