The Verge's reporter got a permanent tattoo from a sticker — no pain, no bleeding, no healing

The Verge published the first independent hands-on test of CipherX's Microdot patch. CEO Ferdinand Kohle applied a quarter-sized patch embedding 112 biodegradable microneedles into a reporter's arm. After 15 minutes the needles dissolved, leaving a permanent tattoo. The reporter reported no pain, bleeding, scabbing, or healing time. CipherX launched the product July 24, 2026 in London.
