Rose Davies becomes first woman to win two long-distance races at one Commonwealth Games

Australia's Rose Davies won the 5,000-meter race at Glasgow 2026, adding to her 10,000-meter title from opening day. No woman had won both distance events at a single Commonwealth Games. Teammate Jessica Hull took silver; Scotland's Megan Keith bronze. The 26-year-old from Newcastle is coached by former Olympic marathoner Scott Westcott.
