Rose Davies completes first women's 5,000m/10,000m double in Commonwealth Games history

Australia's Rose Davies won 5,000m gold at Glasgow 2026 in 14:44.53, adding to her 10,000m title (31:39.32) from the opening day of athletics. No woman had previously won both events at a single Commonwealth Games. Teammate Jessica Hull took silver in 14:45.01; Scotland's Megan Keith claimed bronze. The 26-year-old from Newcastle is coached by former Olympic marathoner Scott Westcott.
