City mayors in England to get a share of income tax for the first time

Prime Minister Andy Burnham told the BBC that city mayors in England will get a cut of income tax money for the first time, plus the right to keep some local business taxes. They will also take charge of housing, transport and skills. Chancellor John Healey will decide the exact amount in his autumn Budget. This applies to England only.
