Cheap TV Streaming Sticks Found Running Secret Ad Fraud

Bitsight researchers found that low-cost H96 TV streaming sticks sold online come with hidden software that pretends to be a mobile phone and silently clicks on ads to generate fake revenue. By redirecting the devices' hidden communications to their own server, researchers spotted tens of thousands of affected devices worldwide. The scheme was traced to China's Fengwo Group.
