H96 Streaming Sticks Ship as Silent Ad Fraud Network, Bitsight Finds

Bitsight researchers found that low-cost H96 TV streaming sticks sold via online marketplaces ship with preinstalled apps that spoof mobile phone identities and silently generate fake ad clicks. A sinkholed telemetry domain revealed tens of thousands of compromised devices worldwide reporting hardware data to the operation. The apps were traced to China's Fengwo Group.
