Netflix Becomes UK Viewers' Go-To for TV, Beating BBC for the First Time

UK regulator Ofcom's 2026 report, published 29 July, found 26% of UK viewers say Netflix is what they watch first, narrowly beating the BBC at 25%. ITV lags at 15%. It is the first time Netflix has topped the BBC in this survey. The gap is one point; the direction is not.
