Immigration Minister won't say if she trusts top public servant after $6m mistake

Immigration Minister Erica Stanford won't say if she still backs the head of her ministry, Nic Blakeley. Her staff found an error in information the ministry gave her, which led Blakeley to admit another $6m was wasted on a failed computer system for Immigration NZ. Stanford said her trust in officials was "severely damaged" and "getting worse".
