Stanford won't say if she backs MBIE chief executive after $6m error
Immigration Minister Erica Stanford has declined to say whether she has confidence in MBIE chief executive Nic Blakeley. Her staff discovered an error in information MBIE provided to the minister, which led to Blakeley disclosing a further $6 million in wasted spending on Immigration NZ's failed biometrics upgrade. Stanford said her trust in officials was "severely damaged" and "getting worse".
