Government wants remote-controlled drones that can carry explosives

The government wants to buy drones that people fly remotely and that can carry explosives, Defence Minister Chris Penk said. In June, the Defence Ministry said the drone budget was only for watching and gathering information, not weapons. It later said self-firing weapons were ruled out, but drones steered by a person were not.
