Anthropic and Nvidia disagree over selling powerful computer chips to China

Anthropic's leader Dario Amodei said on July 27 he supports U.S. limits on selling advanced computer chips to China and cracking down on smuggling. Nvidia, which helps make those chips, gathered 50 supporters by July 25 for a letter favoring open sharing of AI technology and opposing the sales limits. The two companies now disagree on how to govern powerful AI.
