Family of Indigenous Man Who Died After Police Restraint Asks Court to Reveal Why No Officers Were Charged

Kumanjayi White died after police restrained him in a Coles supermarket. Prosecutors said there was "no reasonable prospects" of winning a case against the officers. His family has now gone to the NT Supreme Court to find out who made that call and why. They want the decision reconsidered. A formal public inquiry into his death begins in Alice Springs in April 2027.
