Green Party's 2026 plan: new taxes on wealth and inheritance
The Green Party launched its 2026 election plan at its south Auckland meeting. The party wants to tax wealthy people's assets and money passed down through families, and to stop taxing income below $10,000. It would also raise the top tax rate above $160,000. Co-leader Marama Davidson said the money would go to public services. It is the Greens' most detailed tax plan so far.
