Green Party launches 2026 manifesto with wealth tax, inheritance tax at its core
The Green Party launched its 2026 election manifesto at its AGM in south Auckland, proposing a wealth tax, an inheritance tax, a tax-free threshold for income below $10,000, and a higher top rate above $160,000. Co-leader Marama Davidson said the party would tax the "super-rich" and address "corporate greed" to reinvest in public services. The package is the Greens' most detailed tax offering for the campaign.
