Huge Wildfire Near French City of Bordeaux Forces 220,000 People to Flee

A wildfire in France's Gironde area has burned land four times the size of Paris, forcing nearly 220,000 people to leave their homes. About 2,500 firefighters and 1,500 soldiers are holding the fire back 15–20 miles from Bordeaux. The fire is so large it creates its own weather patterns. Officials say no evacuation of Bordeaux is planned.
