Paramount Puts $111 Billion Warner Bros. Discovery Deal on Hold Until 2027 Court Decision

Paramount Skydance has agreed to stop merging with Warner Bros. Discovery until June 1, 2027, or five days after a court decides whether the deal illegally limits competition. The lawsuit was filed by 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America. U.S. and European regulators already approved the $111 billion deal. The waiting period costs about $7 million per day after September.
