Company Behind AI Coding Tool Devin Buys Chat App Poke
Cognition, which makes an AI tool called Devin that writes code, bought Poke's parent company for around $100 million-plus. Poke users sent over 100 million messages last quarter. Cognition wants to give Devin Poke's friendly, human-like chat style — betting that how AI talks matters as much as how smart it is. Poke stays separate through 2026; integration starts in 2027.
