Trump Says Iran Will Be Blamed for Future Houthi Ship Attacks

On July 23, 2026, President Trump warned that Iran will be held responsible if Houthi fighters attack any more ships. The Houthis are rebels backed by Iran who recently fired missiles and drones at two Saudi oil ships in the Red Sea. Trump first made this link in March 2025. It now comes alongside 12 nights of U.S. bombings inside Iran.
