British Army Training in Kenya Called Off Over Deal Dispute

The British army cancelled a September training exercise in Kenya after Kenya refused to approve a defence agreement. Kenya wants the power to try British soldiers accused of serious crimes there and wants higher rent for the UK base near Nanyuki. Britain rejected these changes. The partnership dates to 1963; both governments say they are still talking.
