National wants sexual consent law changed to require a clear "yes"

National wants the law to say sexual consent means actively agreeing — giving a "yes" — not just the absence of a "no." Justice spokesperson Paul Goldsmith told RNZ the Crimes Act spells out what consent is not but never says what it is. No draft law or timetable has been given.
