Apple Music and Spotify raise their US subscription prices

Apple Music raised all US plans on July 17, 2026 — individual to $11.99, family to $19.99, student to $6.99 — blaming higher licensing costs, the fees paid to artists and labels. Spotify Premium recently moved to $12.99. Both now exceed $9.99, the price ad-free music streaming held for its first decade. Apple last raised prices in October 2022.
