New prime minister still choosing his team three weeks after taking the job

Andy Burnham told the BBC he is "still finalising" his cabinet — the senior ministers who run government departments. More than three weeks have passed since he became prime minister on 22 June. RTÉ reported he aimed to finish by early July. That deadline has passed, leaving government departments waiting for their new bosses.
