England to Stop Selling Strong Energy Drinks to Children Under 16

From April 2027, England will ban sales of highly caffeinated energy drinks to children under 16. The rule covers shops, vending machines, and online sales, but not tea or coffee. Local councils will enforce it, with fines up to £2,500. The government says around 100,000 children drink these daily, raising health and obesity concerns. Some shops already limit sales on their own.
