Burnham's tour to visit Port Talbot, the steel town Labour didn't save

Andy Burnham's August tour is expected to reach Port Talbot, where Tata Steel shut its last giant furnace for making steel from scratch in September 2024, with 2,800 jobs lost. Labour stepped in to help Scunthorpe's steelworks in 2025 but not Port Talbot. Welsh Labour MPs told BBC Wales they understand Burnham plans to visit the town.
