New Software Combines Three Types of AI to Run Simulations of Industrial Plants

London-based Applied Computing has built Orbital, software that combines three AI systems — one for patterns over time, one for physics rules, and one for language — to simulate oil and gas plant operations. Workers can test changes, spot problems, and check whether fixes cause new issues in minutes, not hours. KBR has added Orbital to its INSITE 3.0 platform.
