Applied Computing's Orbital Fuses Physics, Time Series, and Language Models for Industrial Plant Simulation
London-based Applied Computing's Orbital combines a time series model, a physics-based model, and a language model into one system for oil, gas, and petrochemical plants. The architecture lets operators simulate operational changes, flag anomalies, investigate causes, and model whether proposed fixes could create problems elsewhere — within minutes rather than the hours or days traditional process simulation requires. KBR has integrated Orbital into its INSITE 3.0 platform.
