OpenAI Executive Compares Data-Center Pause to 2002 Iraq War Vote

OpenAI's chief global affairs officer, Chris Lehane, wrote in a memo that supporting a pause on new data centers, the huge buildings that power AI, "could well be the 2028 version of the 2002 vote to go to war in Iraq." Politico reported on November 2 that OpenAI is pitching 2028 hopefuls on how to talk about AI.
