Free open-source tool lets Withings scale owners send weight data to their own server

Tom Anthony released YourOwnWeigh, an open-source tool that stops Withings scales sending data to Withings' servers. It swaps the scale's software over Bluetooth, a wireless link, so readings reach a server the owner picks. That server can run on a free Cloudflare account. It works with two older models. Withings now charges new accounts $9.99 monthly for Apple Health sync.
