GM Wants Federal Factory Grant Spent on Hybrid Cars in Lansing

GM is working with the Energy Department to change an earlier federal factory grant so the money funds hybrid cars (vehicles with both a gas engine and a battery) at its Lansing Delta Township plant. GM says a separate $500 million award to convert another Lansing factory to electric cars was never paid out. No hybrid launch date is set.
