GM Seeks to Redirect Federal Grant Toward Lansing Hybrid Production

GM said it is working with the U.S. Department of Energy to restructure a previously awarded Domestic Manufacturing Conversion Grant and redirect the funds to future hybrid production at its Lansing Delta Township plant. GM says a separate $500 million Biden-era award for EV conversion of another Lansing factory was never released. No hybrid launch date has been set.
