Maine Democrat Suspends Senate Race After Assault Accusation

Maine Democratic candidate Graham Platner stopped campaigning Wednesday after a woman said he sexually assaulted her in 2021. He denies it. He announced he was quitting in a video but didn't officially remove his name from the ballot. Maine law gives him until July 13 to officially withdraw, or Democrats will have to run against a candidate no longer campaigning.
