A new messaging app lets you pick how fast your messages arrive

Logan Mendelsohn, a safety manager at Ticketmaster, designed Roost to work backwards from every other messaging app. Instead of sending messages as fast as possible, Roost lets you choose: attach a bird or animal to each message to set its speed—a falcon delivers instantly, a snail takes minutes. Slowness is the point, not the accident.
