Canada argues it shouldn't face U.S. tariffs over forced labour

Canada told the U.S. this week it has no case for imposing 10 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods over forced-labour concerns. Ottawa says it already bans forced-labour imports, requires companies to disclose their supply chains, and just introduced a law forcing importers to certify their goods are ethically made. The U.S. is hearing arguments from 60 countries before deciding whether to impose these penalties.
