Americans Used 3.5% Less Gas in September
Americans used and shipped abroad 3.5% less natural gas in September than in August, American Gas Association data show. Fading heating and cooling needs usually drive a drop like this. Whether it lasts depends on weather and exports, which can shift fast. Henry Hub's NGX26 contract, a benchmark gas price, last showed $3.02 per unit of heat on October 19.
